Wehem
Wehem is the first ever Hindi Rock band from Pune. Wehem actually means illusion and dat was the central theme/concept of band’s 1st couple of songs. So far wehem has performed at different venues in and around pune such as Soul, Lush, M.G. road walking plaza, etc.

Wehem’s current line up is

Rohit (vocals and guitar)
Sourabh (key-boards)
Mihir (bass guitar)
Amit (drums).

History

All the original band members were from Engg. Background. Hindi rock was something which all the band members could relate to and express themselves through.

    Hey guys..

    Just came across ur profile on the web.. I have been wanting to get together with like minded people on music.. I have been into percussion fr the last 18 years.. a beginner level on the drums, I am trained on mridangam and classical music and have self learnt tabla, dholak, bongos, triple drum, ghatam, thumba and a variety of skin based percussion instruments ..
    A project manager in an MNC by profession and a engr turned MBA by qualification, I have been associated with bands called Infinite Dreamz & Mandolins where we used to experiment on fusion.. fuse english songs with my tabla beats. Apart from these, there are always the regular hindi/eng pop songs..

    I would love to get together with a bunch of guys who know what they are doing… My primary interests are jamming and experiemental music.. creating rhythm/beats out of everything.. not necessarily instruments. U can buzz me on 976 5555 671 or write to me at sjaianand@gmail.com
